History of Easter
Easter is a Christian holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. While it is a Christian holiday it has roots in both Pagan and Hebrew traditions celebrating the Vernal Equinox and the arrival of spring. In 2012 Easter is April 8th.
The Easter Bunny and Easter Eggs symbolize the renewal and rebirth that spring brings. The idea of the Easter Bunny was brought over by German immigrants in the 18th Century.
The Costumer carries both a full line of Easter Bunnies, Easter Mascots, and Biblical & Roman costumes and props for your Church’s Easter Show.
