Curious Savage: John Patrick's classic comedy features elderly Ethel Savage, whose late husband left her about 10 million dollars. She decided to set up a memorial fund with the money and her three step children, Titus, Lily Belle and Samuel, contrive to steal the money by having her committed to the local sanatorium, The Cloisters. Ethel's fellow inmates, Jeff, Florence, Fairy May, Mrs. Paddy and Hannibal, along with the aid of nurse Miss Willie, recognize the stepchildren's greed and through a series of misadventures, tricks and false confessions, they help protect the Savage fortune and get Ethel released.
