Phantom of the Opera: Gene Traylor's 1979 adaptation of Gaston Leroux's La Fantôme de l'Opéra features a tongue and cheek comedy thriller version of the now classic tale of a deformed musical genius who haunts the Paris Opera House and becomes obsessed with naïve soprano Christine Daaé.
