1930-1940 Costumes: Enter the 1930’s, a decade where Great Depression brought with it simplistic styles of overalls, ragged overcoats, and worn out dresses that exemplified economic hardship. However, this decade still maintained a little Hollywood glamor as seen in many of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers’ films. This plot also includes many occupational costumes from the era, such as nurses, soldiers, and newspaper boys. These costume sets are suited for productions such as The Grapes of Wrath, Big Fish, Top Hat, and Of Mice and Men.
