Li'l Abner
Li'l Abner: Created from Al Capp's satirical comic strip of the same name, this Norman Panama, Melvin Frank, Gene De Paul and Johnny Mercer musical takes place in the fictional hillbilly town of Dogpatch USA on the eve of destruction. The federal government has selected it, by virtue of its unimportance, to become a nuclear testing site. Meanwhile, two young women vie for the affections of handsome, but romantically disinclined Li'l Abner.
