Music Man: One of the most popular musicals for professional and amateur theatre groups alike, Meredith Wilson's musical centers around con man Harold Hill, who comes to River City, Iowa in 1912 to sell band uniforms and instruments and then skip town with the cash before actually forming the band. Instead, Harold Hill falls for librarian Marian Paroo, who sees right through his act, and decides to risk capture to win her affections.
