This Felt Bowler Hat made of pressed felt with a brown ribbon band around the crown. This hat features a 5" crown and a 1.5" brim. Hat is one size fits most, up to a 23" head measurement and is available in Black or Tan.

Due to their extended popularity from the mid 18th century up until the early 20th century, bowler hats can be worn by a wide selection of characters. Starting in the 1700's bowler hats were a popular style in the west as not everyone wore cowboy hats; they were worn by both western outlaws and marshals. Into the 1800's they were popular in England, for bankers and businessmen. Into the 1900's it became the signature hat for film and television characters, Charlie Chaplin as well as Laurel and Hardy wore bowler style hats. The hats continue to be popular into the Victorian Era of the 1900's. This hats can also be used for characters including tramps, clowns, and many more.

Bowler hats may also be referred to as a derby, bob hat, bombin, coke (pronounced cook), billy coke, and billycock.
