As You Like It: Shakespeare's French pastoral comedy follows the trials of Duke Senior's daughter Rosalind. The Duke's younger brother Frederick usurps the throne, banishing Duke Senior and only allowing Rosalind to remain at court as his daughter Celia's confidante. When a young lord, Orlando, falls for Rosalind and is persecuted by his brother Oliver, Duke Frederick banishes Rosalind in anger. The two cousins decide to escape together with the court jester Touchstone to the Forest of Arden, where Duke Senior and his followers are known to camp. Rosalind disguises herself as young man Ganymede while Celia poses as Aliena. The two cousins in their assumed identities, become embroiled in the love triangles of Duke Senior's court and the local shepherding community.
