Harvey

Harvey: Mary Chase's Pulitzer Award winning play uses comedy to preach the value of acceptance and tolerance. Elwood P. Dowd, a kind-hearted man, has an invisible, and debatably imaginary, friend named Harvey, an anthropomorphic rabbit over six feet tall. To the growing horror of Elwood's social ladder-climbing sister Veta Louise Simmons, Elwood introduces Harvey to everyone he meets. In an effort to protect her daughter Myrtle Mae from the social exclusion Elwood creates, Veta brings her brother to a sanitarium. Choas ensues when Dr. Chumley admits Veta instead and Elwood goes missing. With the offhand wisdom of a cab driver and help from a little Celtic mythology, Veta learns to appreciate her brother's sweet-tempered nature.
