Pirates of Penzance: Gilbert and Sullivan's fifth collaboration and now staple of civic and scholastic theatre seasons, follows the dutiful Frederick, mistakenly apprenticed to a band of kind-hearted pirates as he falls in love with Major General Stanley's daughter Mabel but feels bound to complete the rest of his perceived apprenticeship, which, due to his leap year birthday, would last until 1940.
