The Tempest

The Tempest: Shakespeare’s drama is set on a remote island, where the sorcerer Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan, and his daughter Miranda have been trapped for years after the sorcerer was betrayed and deposed by his jealous brother, Antonio. Upon learning that Antonio and the complicit King Alonso are on a ship near the island’s waters, Prospero conjures up a storm to lure the pair to his island. Prospero plots to restore his daughter to the throne using his magical illusions, and with Antonio, the King, and the King’s son Ferdinand on the island, Prospero just may succeed.
